Jaya Sri Maha bodhi, Historical sites,
This sacred place is located in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. You can worship the sacred fig tree in the Mahamewna Gardens. According to history, this is the Southern branch of historical Sri Maha Bodhi at Buddha Gaya in India. Sri Maha Bodhi is the sacred tree under which Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment. Most of the time here so crowded, especially in the Poya days. Here you will find as the best place for meditations. So calm. Please be mindful of dressing up appropriately when you are visiting there. It’s better to dress up in white if possible. You will not be allowed to enter without covering your knees and shoulders. Isurumuniya
This is an ancient Buddhist temple built by King Devanampiya Tissa. Here the temple is so impressive because of some magnificent carvings. Among those carvings, Isurumuniya Lovers is one of the best stone art, and this amazing historical site is considered as a UNESCO World heritage. It's better to visit in the morning or evening. Otherwise, the group is so hot. You can find many eye-catching arts in the Archaeological Museum, and you can see the beautiful pond, Elephant Pond also. Kuttam pokuna (Twin pond)
Kuttam Pokuna means the Twin pond, and this is one of the best bathing tanks in ancient Sri Lanka. This is an artistic marvel of ancient Sinhalese. Thuparamaya

Basawakkulama Tank
Basawakkulama tank is also known as (Abhaya tank). It's a very historical site because this is the first tank in Sri Lanka Built by King Pandukabhya in the 3rd century. This tank is very close to Ruwanwali maha sea. You can see a breathtaking view of the Ruwanwali saya from the tank. It's really minded relaxing. Don't miss this place to spend some time if you are traveling in Anuradapura. You can have a safe bath, but it's crowded when on holidays and Poya days. Ranmasu Uyana, best historical sites
Ranmasu Uyana is an ancient Royal Garden. This ancient park is located nearby the Isurumuni temple. It is about 16hac. According to the inscriptions, the water was supplied to this garden from the Tissa wewa. This garden is full of stone arts, ruins of ancient buildings, and bathing pond. One of the best historical sites in Sri Lanka. This is such an excellent example of the uniqueness and advancement of ancient mechanisms, especially in the irrigation systems.
