"Rosi" is the biggest turtle in Hikkaduwa. She is 90 years old. She is very friendly with people.

Hikkaduwa beach is very famous among everyone as one of the best surfing spots in Sri Lanka. Narigama beachside is very best for surfing. There is 1km from the Hikkaduwa city, and by the way, if you want to stay in Narigama, you can find out the guest house for a low price.

There are 2.2km from Hikkaduwa to Sinigama Devol Dewalaya. It's a historically old place. At the moment knowns as Devol Devala which is famous among locals for praying blessings, even punishing people
This is one place, one God and peoples believe about Devol God. Same as this God is good for blessing people and also will punish anyone who will be bad and doing unnecessarily wrong things. An important place for locals.
If you want to discover the local religion and cultural things, you have to go here while you are travelling in Hikkaduwa.  But, you have to respect tradition, religion, and take off your shoes and hats when you enter here .

Madu River Safari

Madu River located in Balapitiya. There are 20km from Hikkaduwa. Madu river boat riding is one of the best boat riding experience in Sri Lanka. You can go on a boat ride in the lagoon. There are different places you can visit during the boat ride.
Koth duwa temple and fish therapy spas are a few of those destinations. Recommend to go early in the morning or in the evening because otherwise, you will get tired due to sunlight.
On your boat ride, you will be able to see many birds, castles, water monitors, lizards, and fish. You can get a boat at a reasonable price at any time. Amount for the boat will depend on your requirement.

This Place has sea turtles aging from day 1 to 25-30 years. They well maintain the Place with lots of turtles, including injuries, and You can touch some of them under there supervision.
